Renovation of 106 Clarendon St.

Renovating a house such as this is a long process. We started in June and did not finish until October. Even in November we are still going through and touching up a few things around the house. This is just a quick overview and some photos of what was involved in the process. It does not go into great detail.

The first step in renovating this house was to first open it up.

The house was surrounded by bushes and trees that were blocking the windows. This was preventing the sun from getting in, and preventing the house from drying out. The roof on the house needed to be replaced, thus it was severally leaking. Until we could get a new roof on the house, the best we could do would be to open it up and dry it out.

Now we could see some of what we were going to do, and it did not look easy. We were going to have to tarp the roof soon, or else we would be unable to get much work done in the house.
